On Saturday, March 12th we will present a dinner and wine pairing, with storytelling from Jim Gabler, author of Passions: The Wines and Travels of Thomas Jefferson.
Jim’s book was reviewed by Robert Parker as a brilliant book about one of America’s most fascinating and gifted Presidents, and a compelling historical account of the nations first wine enthusiast and connoisseur.
Jim has been a guest speaker on Jefferson and wine at many venues including the Smithsonian’s Museum of History and Monticello. The wine and words also feature Matthew Stubbs. As a Master of Wine, he is a member of the elite group of people who have demonstrated, by way of rigorous examination, a thorough knowledge of all aspects of wine. there are fewer than 200 people in the world today who have reached the excellence to be Masters of Wine.
